#58 How to be a professional speaker

Or how to perform a one time professional speech? First thing the Toastmasters International gave me was credibility. No matter what you would say, your story should be authentic and originated from your experience.

It is staggering that how much we tend to forget the vow to ourselves not so long before.

No matter how we find a good excuse that justifies it, that is no more than giving ourselves the benefit of doubt.

Contemplate what you want to achieve meticulously. Start achievable objectives with small successes on a daily basis. If you have been craving what you want to make it happen in the future, your success will get up steam sooner or later.

You can be impulsive and it is okay to experience failures. The more important lesson is to know how to be the protagonist in your life. The sense that you can control yourself is inextricable for becoming the winner of life.

One of the ways to develop yourself is trying to be in other people’s shoes. Differentiate yourself from others doesn’t help to have empathy. Feel other people’s emotions in a roundabout way can enable you to understand other people much better.

How’s your mind now? Do you feel any uncomfortable emotions like vanity or anxiety? If your mind is like a powder keg, you need to be vigilant and try to compromise with your capacity to seal the deal.

Let’s recall your memories. Is there any good recollection or precedent you have when you are on your back? It is ubiquitous human nature that to put pressure on yourself when you are in hurry. But it only deteriorates your situation unless you have time to catch a breath.

There is way of thoughts that would undermine your mental health; worry. They are not necessarily toxic always, but most people deal with them in the wrong way.

The worries about what happened already are the worst thoughts. You cannot change what occurred in the past. All you can do is to learn lessons from the consequence.

The other type of worry is concerning things that do not happen yet. It is more beneficial because it helps you can change the future. But if you are just worried about and doing nothing can’t make the difference. You have to analyze it and delve into it to enhance the situation. By that you can find the problem you have and hash out solutions

Keep in mind that a healthy mentality is perishable if you don’t care about it.

What do you want to recall on the last day of your life? Missing things that you would’ve done if you have second thoughts? Or satisfying what you have done for the entire life? The secret to not regretting is to know you can do every other thing if you decide. It is a matter of perception. If you have to continue what you have done because of its stability, actually you are on the brink of ruin. The risk and danger to be settled and fixation is under your nose while you can’t sniff it. Be prepared to transform yourself to adapt future and satisfying life.

Many people say ‘I have to find myself' when they are talking about dreams or achievement or success. But the concept that there would be authentic yourself somewhere is a prevalent misunderstanding.

Getting out of the comfort zone is very important to change yourself, but do you know what your comfort zone is? Defining a comfort zone can be different from person to person.

But comfort zone doesn’t necessarily mean you would do something barely achievable or magnificent. You can start with small things you can sense of accomplishment. For example, making the bed every day or writing for 10 minutes a day. But the thing is the task makes you be focused and put some effort by any means. It makes you discomfort. It cannot be differentiated discomfort with growth. It is inextricable. Because growth only occurs in the state of discomfort.

The next thing you can do is keeping hopes tightly. Although defeatism has been blanketing society, it doesn’t mean all young generations have been depressing. Somebody is analyzing the situation and improve themselves to fit the future. That kinds of capabilities are not innate. You cannot be behind them with vicarious satisfaction.

How can we eradicate wicked thoughts and find a way to promising behavior? First, you need to mull over what you are good at. The important fact at here, it doesn’t mean that something you were born with. The concept of a talent or a gift is a common myth for people. NOBODY is born with a conspicuous gift, whereas a vast majority of people are born with learning capability.
